LORD KNOWS OUR LANGUAGE
I wonder if God can read any of our languages, and if he listens to any of our hymns. He never visited our Universities. He knows the language of animals and birds too,which we don't know at all. I sometimes wonder if he knows English And does not know the tribal lang Does he communicate with buffaloes? And small insects?
The answer is yes. Language is meant for unrefined people who cant communicate with their body systems Or gestures. I wonder at men who need spices to eat Vegetables, while animals have a rich taste inbuilt so that they relish unflavoured meat directly. When a lizard catches hold of a fly, Does it pour it with sausages As we treat our Italian pizza?
He knows us by our virtue. And gives us what we can endure. Man is a big thing. Ask Ozymandias. God neither listens nor speaks Only watches how we grapple with ourselves Commit fouls and cry at the referee. To us belong all non sense, as well as entire devilry.
